Ex 'p'- The alternative to explosion-proof electric motors (Ex'd')
The opportunity of widly common basic motors for Ex nA e and Ex px e allows to extend stocked motors for zone 2 to use in zone 1 in a relatively short time and also to get the certification from the notified body. Opposite to explosion-proof motors in flameproof design, the pressurized enclosure makes it possible to reduce the weight and frame size.
The customer resp. operator only requires:
- Compressed air in sufficient quantities (depending on the type of construction and frame size)
- Additional control cables
